Dr. Gillett will describe how climate change predictions arise using detection and attribution analysis, including effects on temperature, precipitation, humidity, atmospheric circulation, and stratospheric ozone.
Dr Gillett conducts research on understanding and attribution of observed climate change. He will tell us about climate modelling and the prediction of climate change based on evidence and observations. He was the convening lea author of Working Group I contribution to the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, Chapter and the lead author of Working Group I contribution to the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report, Chapter 10.
